So... I read a post on Blog, Blah, Blah and in it Heather described how she was challenged by Jellyhead about shoes (check out Heather's post HERE and Jelly's post HERE)... how shoes can possibly lend important information about their wearers. I am SOOOOO NOT a big shoe person, but I was intrigued. A lot of women are really into shoes... and, while I value the importance of having the right shoe for the right situation, I really do not go out on too many limbs to get fashionable or trendy. (I think of myself of more of a "jacket" type of girl --- maybe I will have to do a post on that --- but when it really comes down to it, you may be able to tell a lot about my personality from my favorite thing to wear: a T-shirt --- preferably one that dons the name of or mascot of one of my favorite teams --- and a pair of shorts, in summer, or a pair of jeans, in winter). Anyway... Maybe you can see a lot here, too, with my reveal of the pairs of shoes that I wear pretty much most of the time.
My Teva sandals!!! I wear these SOOOO much during the summer (and have had them for YEARS!) Typically I like to go without shoes, but when I have to wear them, these are usually it. I wear them so much that my feet have permanent tans in the strap pattern of these shoes. My hubby likes to lovingly tease me about my "Teva Tan!"
I got these "Earth" shoes on sale. They are comfortable... and maybe you shoe gurus can fill me in... are these shoes "in" or special? My bro seemed to be familiar with this brand when he asked about them once. I had never heard of them before... I was just glad to get these comfy shoes cheap!!!
These I bought for fashion a couple of summers ago, I will admit. I have a cute little Champion navy blue, athletic looking shirt with navy shorts that match that JUST HAD TO have these little shoes to go with. It is with this outfit and one other ONLY that I wear these shoes... but I like 'em.
These are my dressy summer sandals. I feel grown-up in these. I feel particularly special when I have had a pedicure and get to wear these with a little black skirt and bright top. It's nice.
These are my main shoes for the fall and winter. I love the clunky look with my extra long jeans that fray at the bottom... they make me feel younger. :-) Hee hee!
So... what do these shoe selctions say about my personality? I was thinking about letting you tell me, but I will put something out there... I like to have fun with a pair of shoes and get something I think looks cool, but I am also into being comfortable and just being myself and getting over all that fashion stuff. I like to find clothing and shoes that say "me" but that don't give away too much or put me onto center stage. (My personality comes out sometimes enough to put me there without the shoes!) Hmmm... Am I making any sense?
Cool, but not overpowering. (Uh, I am not sure I can say that about myself... but maybe about my shoes.) Will get the job done. (Yeah... if it is a job I feel like doing! Ha!) Simple, but makes you wonder what they are like. (I have fooled many people, I think, that I am a super quiet person, but once you get to know me...)
What do you think? (Good analysis?)

Well, I don't know you in person, but anyone who has a Teva Tan has got to be cool and alright with me! ha ha.
I love Teva's!
Fun post wasn't it?
Thanks for checking out my Soe Post, Suzanne. It was fun! And, thanks. I do love my Teva's!
P.S. I am 30 plus 10. My husband is 40 minus 7. (I thought that was fun to read on your blog!)
Hey, you joined in the shoe frenzy!
I like your shoes... they all look comfy but kinda groovy too. My favourite pair are the last ones...are they blue suede? (sounds like an Elvis song!), or black?
Thanks for doing this post :)
The last ones are black... but worn down so badly!!! One day I was wearing them and was crossing a field from our church home... and they had cleared this field so it was just dirt. Or so I thought!!! It had rained and looked dry on the surface. It was MUD and I SANK!!! My poor shoes were caught down in as I struggled to keep myself above the mud. I went flat onto my stomach and saved my black, clunky shoes! They have been through a lot!
Thanks, Jelly, for stopping by!
P.S. And too funny that you mentioned Elvis in your comment. Here was what the quote of the day had to say today (A Quote of the Day is in my left hand column for future reference):
What can you say about a society that says that God is dead and Elvis is alive?
