Looong survey! I'll just say that stay away from roller coasters, my first car was a '53 Buick, I like to get up at the crack of 11am, and it was my pleasure to be on that same flight to New York City with you.
Interesting.

Question 40 I can relate to, I prefer a nice soft contrasty leaded pencil. But it's gotta feel right in the hand, not to big and not too skinny. I use a particular ink pen, not a name brand because I am always searching for a better one. At one point when all my kids were in HS I threw away about 4,000 pens & pencils. I cringe just writing about it but I don't save them anymore. I have actually had fun with others while out shopping, and I'm not a shopper but I would ask for opinions from my buddies who now go the other way when they see me drifting towards the office section of the store.

#50, the Capri actually was made in Germany and handled much like our BMW's. Fahrvergnügen!!

#29, I think my biography could be titled: My Life - My Shoes. I'm no Imelda, but I'd be very pressed to narrow my favorites to, say, a top ten list. I remember the Adidas ATP Tour classics in 1982, and the Earth Shoes! Remember those!? I just saw those on-line recently. Yes, zappos.com is bookmarked...

(Remember Grandma's store in Wakefield? I used to be allowed to go in the back stockroom and roam the shoe inventory... ahh)

Current faves are my Adidas Barricade IV's, maybe my best tennis shoes ever. Yeah, THAT good. My local tennis shop guy says they're the best selling sports shoe (ever?). I see he has the V's now. Somebody stop me! :)

My prior favorites are the Diadora Borg signature (still have two pairs). Maybe I should get my own blog... or support group.

Tom- Yea! You are someone I could talk to... although I am not up on the particulars of pencil and pen equipment. I usually just keep trying things from my stash until I run across something just right for the type of paper I am writing on at the time. But on a slightly textured white writing paper, I love a "soft, contrasty lead pencil" like you mentioned... and I am carfeul not to smudge!

Bro- Perhaps you are about shoes as Tom and I are to writing utensils... ha ha!!! Very cool to hear about the shoes, though... and I love my current Earth Shoes... sandals. I can hardly wait for warmer weather to wear them again. (I would be alternating them with my ancient Tevas, of course... gotta have my summer "Teva Tan!")

Good meme Heidi. I'm a writing utensil snob too. I got an electric pencil sharpener for Christmas. It was one of my favorite gifts! Does that make me a geek?
Happy Saturday.

Said with a big, deep, announcer-type voice: We are not geeks for loving a quality writing utensil or enjoying the fine point on a well sharpened pencil! (Okay, but saying that last thing just made ME a geek!)

You have a good Saturday, too, Jessica!

Ooooh! Neat! I have always wanted an electric pencil sharpener! Several years ago, someone gave me a sharpener that ran on batteries. But it sort of 'ground' the pencils rather than "zapping' them. Electric rocks.
